About

Dear Black Stripper,

Your are wanted. You are valued. And your voice matters.

I began dancing at the age of 18 for a little extra money to pay my rent. At that time, I had no idea about the opportunities would become available to me and the life lessons I would learn from wearing a pair of 7 inch heels and a slingshot.

As a young Black woman, I’ve experienced and witnessed the up’s and down’s of the strip club industry. Colorism, Discrimination, Drug Abuse, Sexual Assault, and Drama. Many people don’t understand that stripping is not always just the glitz and glam.

I started Dear Black Stripper because I noticed that, although, Black women carry the strip club community on our backs and set the tone of strip club culture, our struggles are often times ignored, swept under the rug and forgotten. I want to use this platform to bring a voice all black strippers, as well as to provide resources and advice.

***DISCLAIMER***: I want to state that I do not want to minimize or deflect the issues of any stripper regardless of their race. I simply want to bring awareness to the problems Black strippers face daily. I hope that I can create constructive conversations within our community and provide resources that will benefit all strippers in some way, shape or form.
